Africa's Reaction to Aids

At first, Africa did not acknowledge the problem of Aids. In villages you couldn't tell anyone if you had Aids, because you could get banished from the tribe. So Aids kept spreading and they had no way of stopping it. Also africa did not have the money to care for the problem.

Children with Aids in Africa.

In Africa 1.3 million children under the age of 15 die of Aids. Tragically these kids can not get medical treatment to help them in any way. The most common way the child gets Aids is from parent to child. A lot of these children are orphans because their parents have died from Aids.
